Grace Thorne Yoga's philosophy is about finding the perfect balance.  Yoga has helped me, and many other people, to find balance in my day to nourish the mind and body away from the always-on mentality in every-day life.

My yoga training took me to Vrindavan in North India where I studied within a Sivananda yoga ashram.  It was here that I learned that yoga is about more than just calming down and stretching.  Aside from the postures, it is more importantly about the connection that the mind has with the body and how one breathes.

Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.  It's also individual to you; from the time in the day you practice, to your mood, your breath or your surroundings. It is up to you what you take away from it.

Evidence suggests that regular yoga practice can also be beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains (including lower back pain) as well as depression and stress.

Yoga can either be in a group session or on an individual basis.  For details on face to face group classes, visit locations. To find out more about individual yoga within the comfort of your home, please contact me for more information or visit online.
